These are the words spoken by Jesus when he was speaking to a man who was disabled for 38 years. Before Christ could speak these words He asked this man DO YOU WANT TO HEAL?
Instead of answering the question he spoke of excuses that kept him in his condition for 38 years. How many of us that when we find a solution or an opportunity that is an answer to our prayers instead of grabbing the opportunity we still get stuck in the life that kept us stuck for the longest time? When the solution is knocking at your doorstep we still choose the life of lack than to grab the opportunity and let the solution bring the healing. We become so used to the life of lack that we dont see beyond it. We’ve already written ourselves off by saying success is for the lucky ones, but not for me. Because Christ saw that this man’s issue is not the physical disability but his mental disability He just said to Him GET UP AND GO. Those words were testing his mind and his faith. I think this disabled man realised that its time to let go of these excuses and exercised his faith and stood up and walked after he never knew how to walk for 38 full years. You can also step into the new life that you have been praying for but not believing. You can let go of the life of lack you have been entertaining for many years and GET UP FROM IT GO TO THE BEST LIFE THAT IS WAITING FOR YOU. God will always use people and opportunities to get you out of your comfort of what you are lacking so that you can step into the unknown and unfamiliar ground because that ground is your blessing.
Even Abraham was asked to go to a foreign land and unfamiliar ground because thats where his blessing was. He let go of everything that led him to his comfortable but not growing life and he went to the foreign land. That’s where the word was spoken to him that says AS FAR AS YOUR EYE CAN SEE THAT WILL BE ALL YOURS. Let go of what has been holding you back for many years and step into the new life that you know deep down you deserve it. GET UP AND GO.
