Air Thomas Edison the great inventor of the light bulb is a very good and successful example of the words REPETITION BUILDS CHARACTER. He failed 1000 times in inventing the light bulb we use today. Some say he failed, but actually he learned 1000 ways of improving and make the light bulb much better than it was when he started this invention. His repetition in his invention created passion and passion created a character in him.
How many people that try something for days, weeks and few months and when they dont get the results they quit? Where are those people now? What kind of character do they have today? They are called quitters because winners never quit. You never get recognized for quitting what you started instead you get to show the world your true character, a quitting character. Somehow we expect life to get easy on us and we miss the defining moments where character is being built when we keep going. A farmer doesn’t pull out the seed he planted on the ground after a week of not seeing that the fruit is not coming out. Instead he understands that before the fruits come out the roots must come first. And that is the character of the seed, when the roots start to come out. Your roots are the moments of building your character. So that by the time the fruits come out in your life you are well grounded because of the character that came out of you.
Keep repeating what you know will bring the best out of you. A talent will take you to the top but character will keep you at the top. Endure the season of building a great character in what you are building daily. Be patient with yourself and dont choose easy. This is because growth doesn’t come easy, success doesn’t come easy. Keep building daily and before you enjoy the fruits of your hard work you will enjoy the fruits of the great character the repetition has shaped out of you.
